Who Can Ride?
If you are a resident of Johnston County, you are eligible to ride JCATS.
How Do I Schedule Transportation?
If you need public transportation, call JCATS at (919) 202-5030. All requests are considered individually to determine if this ride can be scheduled. You will need to call by 12 NOON the business day before transportation is scheduled to see if we can transport you.
If you have Medicaid, call DSS at (919) 202-5873.
If you are 60+ call Community & Senior Services of Johnston Co. at (919) 934-6066.

When can I ride?
Pick up times range between 6am - 5pm, Monday Friday. Some limited transportation is provided on weekends, evenings and holidays.
How do I cancel a scheduled ride?
If you need to cancel transportation, contact JCATS at 919-202-5030 as soon as possible, but at least 2 hours before you are scheduled to be picked up.
Do I have to wait to be picked up?
Wait times will vary. JCATS strives to provide not only cost efficient transportation, but quality customer service and care. JCATS will be able to provide you with approximate wait times depending on the time you need to be there and your specific destination.
What Information is needed from me?
You will need to provide your name, address, phone number, destination, and time that transportation is needed. In addition you will need to advise us if you require any special assistance.
How much does it cost?
Generally, if a human service agency is scheduling your transportation, there is no cost to you. However, each agency has the option to charge a fee to help cover the cost.
Public transportation costs $6.00 per ride in county. These rates are subject to change.

Office Hours are Monday through Friday 6am to 6pm, and voice mail is available after hours if you wish to leave a message.
